#GoBeyond - ICT 2017 Kickoff

#GoBeyond, the official theme of the ICT Kickoff last February 6, 2017. The said event was attended by all ICT members including our very own Ms. Vicky.
Mr. Bong Tayamora on the opening note discussed the importance of teamwork inside a group. He showed us a funny video clip that describes different teamwork strategies on different culture and countries. Though funny, the different strategies really works and gets the job done. Sir Bong also mentioned how the ICT group executed great teamwork on the previous year. That is why he is more complacent that the new ICT organization will work with the new setup.
The new ICT organization, as discussed by Sir Bong, will be divided into 2 subgroups, the “Change” and “Run”. The “Change” group will be focused on setting up and preparation of the new platforms like SAP, K2, Sharepoint etc. While the “Run” group will be focused on supporting existing platforms and systems or the traditional ICT operations and support.
Ms. Vicky, next to sir Bong shared a story of her learning cycle between companies that she had been, from economics to finance and now IT. A very inspiring story of success and how learning helps her through her career until then becoming the CEO of CBSI. She also discussed the key deliverables of the group for 2017, everyone in the room got very excited on what will happen this year.
The next part of the presentation is our own sets of newbies dancing to the tune of “New Girl” or mainly knows as the “Dance theme of CBSI”.
After a short break, the program continues on the presentation by the different group leads. Mr. CEds discussed about Data and Analytics(D&A)’s activities on 2016 up to the coming challenges and developments for 2017.
Second was Mr. Joseph Juatco for AppDev and BI solutions(ABS). Being the BI lead and former AppDev, the merging of the two groups are not quite new to him, he also mentioned that he was glad to work with the AppDev group again. He shared that there are a lot of processes changes and notable maturity among the team members. Joseph also presented the new sets of committee on different functions inside the ABS group.
Third was Mr. Jerome Razonable regarding Service Desk and SLA’s. He introduced the new service desk platform “AskViqie” by Solarwind. He made a demo on how to use the system as well as analytics.
Fourth was Ms. Faith who talked about Culture Building, she had some updates on how every group’s programs and activities demonstrates the CBSI’s culture statements.
The last part was the “Impact of Change” an inspirational message coming from Ms. Jean and Mr. Ronald, Ms. Jean due to an emergency wasn’t able to join the kickoff, but still Ronald hit the right message to the participants. He shared how the ICT from 2014 worked and matured up to now. From being a traditional operation group to a more strategic one.
The program was ended by a same day edit video prepared by Ms. Meryl and Ms. Rensie.
During the whole program, everyone in the room has the face of excitement and eagerness. Excitement for what will happen and eagerness to explore new things. After several years with a lot of changes, maturity and processes. I still saw the same ICT, the team that was “Built for X” ready for anything that will come, willing to accept failures, but will come back two times stronger, the group that you’ll gonna love to death. I know and I feel like everyone inside the room that we are proud and we love being part of this team, and we are now ready for 2017.
